Rental Fees

The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) has approved the following rates implemented by the Community Use of Schools rental office. They are subject to review and updated periodically. Appeals regarding fees are granted only in exceptional circumstances.

Types of Facilities for Rent

The following facilities are approved for community use. If you wish to use another facility, please contact the rental office at 613-735-0151 ext. 2262 or 1-800-267-1098.

Custodial Rates

When custodians are regularly on duty, there is no charge related to the use of the facility unless additional assistance is required. Callout charges apply (minimum four hours) if custodians are required to work hours that are not continuous with a scheduled shift. Please refer to the chart below for the rate categories.

Administrative Fees

  • Cancellation fee - Rental charges are refunded if the rental office is notified at least three days before the event occurs.
  • No-show fee - The first no-show incurs a charge of $25 plus applicable fees (rental and staffing). The second no-show also incurs a $25 charge plus applicable fees. If there is a third no-show, there is a $50 charge plus applicable fees. The remainder of the permit will also be cancelled.
  • Alteration fee: Organizations who alter their permit are granted one free alteration. Additional alterations have a $10 processing fee.
  • NSF service charge: Organizations are informed of receipt of a NSF notice and are requested to reissue payment with an additional charge of $40.
  • Security deposit: A $500 deposit may be required for auditorium and large event rentals.

Equipment Rentals

Bleachers, basketball nets and room dividers are available on-site. The use of school equipment is at the discretion of the school principal and should be arranged before the permit start date.

The set-up of equipment, other than opening/closing bleachers, raising/lowering basketball nets and opening/closing room dividers, is the responsibility of the applicant, under the supervision of an RCDSB representative, unless other arrangements have been made. Not-For-Profit Status

To claim Not-for-Profit status, you must submit:

  • A registered charitable organization number; or
  • If incorporated, a copy of Letters Patent.
  • If not incorporated, you must submit a fiscal financial statement and an affidavit from the executive director confirming status as a not-for-profit organization.
