About our School District

Residing in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, the Board office is headquartered in Pembroke, Ontario.

Situated along the banks of the Ottawa River, this community of nearly 17,000 people is a vibrant little city of that offers quick access to the nation's capital while supplying some of the best outdoor scenery and activities.

Our district includes significant geography and stretches all the way from Deep River in the northwest, to Arnprior in the south-east and Barry's Bay along the north-east edge of Algoquin Park. 

Renfrew County is known for its lakeside cottages and world class white-water rafting along the Ottawa River. It has more than 900 lakes and is also the largest county in terms of area in Ontario and nearly one and a half times bigger than PEI. It has a total population of nearly 110,000 people.

Our current elementary headcount is 5957 and our secondary headcount is 3375 for a total enrolment of 9332.
